With more free time during your Summer Vacation, let’s take the opportunity to test our skills in the kitchen!

When: Friday, July 19st (1-2pm)

Where: The Collins Room (across from the Children’s Room)

Who: TEENS (incoming 6th graders to exiting 12th graders)

How Does It Work? –

1. First, register online! Teens must register online by Tuesday, July 16th to participate. The books are available to be checked out once you register. They are located in the Teen Room, underneath the Teen Book Club books. Books will become available on Monday, June 24th.

2. Then, read the book! From the Introduction to Cooking Basics to the Recipes – go through it all!

3. After you read the cookbook, pick first and second choice recipes, and submit them to be the Teen Librarian via e-mail 5pm Tuesday, July 16th. The following day, I will e-mail all who are registered with the recipe they are now responsible to make for the meeting and how many people they will be attending.

4. We will meet and eat! Bring your made recipes on Friday, July 19th, and we will divide them among the group and sample our delicious work. As we eat, we will discuss the processes we went through, what we learned, and what we would try (or never try) again!
