Rising fourth and fifth graders are invited to join Summer Radical Readers, the Cookbook Club Edition! Our cookbook will be America's Test Kitchen's The Complete Cookbook for Young Chefs. Participants will choose and claim online a recipe from the cookbook, make it for the group, and bring it to our meeting. In addition, the children will read The Stars of Summer, a middle grade novel about a youthful restaurant critic. At our meeting we will discuss the novel and then enjoy each other's dishes. Both books will be available to check out beginning Monday, June 24. If you are new to Radical Readers, this is a nice way to decide if you want to continue in the fall, and if you are a Radical Readers veteran, it's a nice way to keep the reading going in the summer months!
