A beginning book club for first graders employing a specific Junior Great Books curriculum. Registration required. This program, which meets monthly from October through May, introduces children to award-winning stories and provides them with the opportunity to think deeply and creatively about them. Participants read a story in advance, either by themselves or with a parent. At the meeting, we read the story aloud and think about it together. Following a short discussion we read another picture book and do a craft. The library provides a fun snack!
