A book club for first graders using the Junior Great Books curriculum. Children will read with their caregivers an assigned story in advance of the meeting each month, and then we will read the story again together as a group. Children will be encouraged to "wonder" about the story and pose questions about why the characters act in the way they do or why the story takes the turns it does. The leader will also pose some open-ended questions. We will end the meeting with a short craft or activity. A small snack will be provided.
