Children ages 6-13 are invited to participate in the Children's Room annual Summer Photo Contest! Submit one photo per registrant each week by 5 p.m., on Wednesday, July 14, Wednesday, July 21, Wednesday, July 28 and Wednesday, Aug. 4. This week's theme is "Portrait." Find a terrific individual and take their photo by focusing closely on their face. Help the viewer understand your subject's personality. You may include items that help us to understand that person (for example, if you were taking a picture of a farmer, you might have her stand against the side of a barn with a pitchfork or your subject might wear a particular item of clothing, although just a plain face is fine, too!).  Email it to ipswichlibraryphoto@gmail.com by 5 p.m. and include your name and age. There are two age categories, 6-9 and 10-13. In addition to a prize, winners of each age category will be published in the Local News.
