Photography contest for children ages 6-9 and 10-13. Enter one photo, based on the theme, each week. Due dates are Wednesday, July 13, 20  & 27, and August 3 at NOON. Please email photo to ipswichlibraryphoto@gmail.com. Winners each week will have their photos published in the Ipswich Local News and will win a small prize. You need only register for the first week and may submit photos for one or as many weeks as you like. Submissions may be emailed from vacation spots!

Weekly Themes -- July 13: Animals: Tame or Wild; July 20: The Natural World -- find beauty wherever you are; July 27: Up Close & Personal -- a tightly focused shot. Get as close as you can while still showing the viewer something amazing; Aug. 3: Portrait -- focus on an individual person. Try through your photo to help the viewer understand this person's special qualities through props or by setting (where the person is being photographed).

A Photo exhibit and Reception is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 15 from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Collins Room of the Ipswich Public Library. Every submission will be framed and mounted!
